In August 2024, the BUBT Social Welfare Club of Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT) organized a comprehensive flood relief and rescue program in Rangamati District, one of the regions severely affected by heavy monsoon flooding.
A dedicated team of student volunteers, guided by faculty members, actively participated in distributing essential relief items such as dry food, clean water, medicines, clothing, and other necessities to affected families. The team also assisted in rescue operations, helping stranded residents and providing immediate support to those in need.
This humanitarian initiative reflects BUBT’s strong commitment to community welfare and social responsibility. Through such compassionate efforts, the university continues to encourage its students to engage in meaningful service activities, promoting empathy, leadership, and solidarity with disaster-affected communities across Bangladesh.
