In 2024, BUBT expanded its commitment to lifelong learning and global academic readiness through the introduction of an IELTS Preparation and Registration Support Program in collaboration with the British Council Bangladesh. Delivered through the BUBT-TAFE Center, this program is open not only to students of the university but also to graduates, job seekers, and interested learners from the wider community, thereby ensuring inclusive access beyond the regular academic population. The training focuses on developing comprehensive English language proficiency aligned with internationally recognized assessment standards, covering all core IELTS components including Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking. Participants benefit from instructor-led lessons, guided skill development, mock examinations with personalized feedback, and structured support for improving test performance. In addition to instructional guidance, the program provides official IELTS examination registration assistance through BUBT’s recognized British Council collaboration, enabling participants to complete both preparation and registration through a single institutional platform. By offering an accessible and professionally structured language training pathway, the program enhances learners’ opportunities for higher education abroad, global mobility, and international employment. This initiative demonstrates BUBT’s ongoing dedication to lifelong learning, capacity building, and widening access to quality educational resources, thereby directly supporting the objectives of SDG 4: Quality Education (specifically 4.3.3)
