The Basic Digital Literacy and IT Skill Tutorial organized by the Department of CSE, BUBT, was designed to empower students from non-technical backgrounds with practical digital skills and confidence in using technology for learning and professional growth. The training focused on developing digital literacy, productivity, and foundational programming capabilities through a series of interactive lectures, lab sessions, and real-world projects.

Conducted over thirty hours of intensive instruction, the program blended theoretical insights with hands-on tutorials on topics such as advanced internet usage, productivity tools like Google Workspace and Microsoft Office, cloud storage, AI-assisted tools, and web design fundamentals using HTML, CSS, PHP, and MySQL. Participants also learned data security, privacy practices, and ethical use of technology.

In line with its open-education philosophy, all tutorial videos, recorded sessions, and demonstration materials have been made publicly accessible through YouTube, allowing learners from any background to benefit freely from the content. This initiative promotes lifelong learning and inclusivity by extending BUBT’s educational reach beyond campus walls, especially supporting non-STEM learners seeking practical digital competence.

The course concluded with assessments, project submissions, and certifications to evaluate learning progress. By offering this open, community-accessible format, the training reflects BUBT’s commitment to Sustainable Development Goal 4 — ensuring quality education and equal access to digital learning opportunities for all.
