Dhaka, October 24, 2024 – On October 24, members of the BUBT Rover Scout Group participated in a traffic management initiative in the Mirpur area of Dhaka. Seven scouts were deployed at two key points to assist in traffic control and ensure road safety. Dressed in uniforms, the scouts directed vehicles and guided pedestrians, demonstrating their commitment to community service. Local residents appreciated their efforts, noting the positive impact on daily commutes. This initiative not only enhances road safety but also aligns with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 1 (No Poverty) by improving access to opportunities for marginalized communities. It also supports SDG 5 (Gender Equality) by empowering young women to take leadership roles in public safety.
The BUBT Rover Scout Group aims to continue such initiatives, fostering a culture of safety and responsibility in the community.
