Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT) has launched a dedicated Breastfeeding Corner on campus, creating a safe and private space for mothers — including students, staff, and visitors to breastfeed their children with dignity and comfort. This initiative directly aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goal 5 (SDG 5): Gender Equality, by ensuring women can continue their education and professional roles without childcare barriers. The breastfeeding facility promotes an inclusive and supportive campus environment, demonstrating BUBT’s commitment to empowering women and upholding their health and rights.
With this step, BUBT sets a positive example for other higher education institutions in Bangladesh to follow in advancing gender-sensitive infrastructure and support services.
