The Anti-Drug Policy of Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT) establishes a comprehensive framework to prevent and address drug and smoking-related issues on campus. Applicable to students, faculty, staff, contractors, visitors, and guardians, it prohibits the use, possession, sale, or distribution of illegal drugs and smoking materials. The policy combines awareness programs, seminars, orientation sessions, counseling, and co-curricular activities with strict monitoring by the Anti-Drug Committee, Proctorial Body, faculty, and security personnel. Disciplinary measures escalate with repeated violations, ranging from warnings to suspension, expulsion, or dismissal, with potential referral to law enforcement for criminal offenses. Appeals are allowed through the BUBT Syndicate. The policy is reviewed periodically to ensure effectiveness and alignment with legal requirements.
