Overview
In alignment with SDG 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy), Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT) has pledged to transition to 100% renewable energy by 2041. This policy reflects BUBT’s dedication to sustainability, environmental protection, and national climate goals.
Through this pledge, BUBT aims to gradually eliminate dependence on fossil fuels, minimize carbon emissions, and promote clean energy use in all academic, administrative, and research activities. The initiative will help transform BUBT into one of the leading “Green Campuses” in Bangladesh.
Key Objectives
Achieve 100% renewable electricity consumption at BUBT by 2041.
Integrate solar and other renewable energy technologies into campus operations.
Promote energy-efficient technologies and sustainable power management.
Encourage research and innovation on renewable energy among students and faculty.
Build partnerships with government, industry, and community organizations for joint renewable energy initiatives.
